Jerico Hughes

Jerico Hughes is an associate director of choirs at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, IN. At Ben Davis, Jerico also teaches AP Music Theory and directs the Musical Theatre Department. After graduating from Ben Davis High School himself, Jerico attended Ball State University where he obtained a B.S. in Vocal and Instrumental Music Education. Aside from Ben Davis, Jerico is a freelance choreographer for various performance ensembles across the Midwest; he is always looking for more groups to work with. Jerico also arranges for show choirs across the nation. With his experience in both vocal and instrumental domains, he is a great resource for show choir arrangements and is always looking for new groups to arrange for. Jerico also works as an adjudicator of vocal, visual and instrumental competitions throughout the state. He is always looking to share his experience and expertise with young performers through adjudication. Lastly, Jerico serves as the Assistant Director of the Wayne Township Community Theatre and one of Music Directors for the Summerstock Theatre Stage. Jerico would like to say thank you to the parents and students who continue to advocate for music experiences in public schools. “Music is an outburst of the soul.”
