ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Mark Yount attended Western Michigan University where he was fortunate to study with Dr. Steve Zegree and participate in the internationally recognized and award winning vocal jazz ensemble Gold Company. Since that time he has taught all grades of students from Kindergarten to Seniors in an Indiana public school. Currently Mark teaches at Martinsville High School where his vocal jazz ensemble (Mprov) performed at the IMEA convention in January of 2020 as well as qualifying for the ISSMA State Vocal Jazz festival every year he has been in Martinsville. In addition to teaching, he’s been a clinician at various camps, retreats, schools, ISSMA, IMEA festivals and has worked with various college groups. Mark is a member of the ISSMA Show Choir/Vocal Jazz committee and is the Area 5 ICDA rep.
