Mary Evers

Mary Rinck Evers, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, is the co-director of the Indianapolis Master Chorale. For twenty-six years, Mrs. Evers taught choir for the Greenfield Central School Corporation. 21 years at the High School and 5 years at the Junior High School

Her choral groups have received superior marks at the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Choral Organizational Festival. In 2013, Mrs. Evers was the recipient of the Greenfield Central School Foundation’s Robert Albano Educational Service Award.

Mrs. Evers has traveled internationally with her choirs, conducting in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Japan, England, France, Canada and the United States. She has served as a clinician and judge for local choral festivals, ISSMA choir contest and IMEA Middle School and Elementary School Circle the State with Song Festivals.

Mrs. Evers currently serves as the President Elect of the ACDA Central Division, representing Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio. Mrs. Evers served as program chair for the 2014 and 2016 Central Division Conferences. Other positions have included interest session chair and registration chair. She is a Past President of the Indiana Choral Directors Association, the state chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. (ACDA) Mrs. Evers received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Education from Michigan State University.

Mrs. Evers is the proud daughter of two public school educators, her father Richard Rinck, an elementary principal for 41 years, and her mother Ann Rinck, a music educator, choral director and music therapist for 30 years in the Grand Rapids Public School system.

Mary enjoys the support of husband, Brian, and son, Andrew.
