He completed his Master of Arts, with an emphasis in church music with honors from Christian Theological Seminary. Throughout his ministry he has accomplished much. Matt has also successfully implemented and sustained one of the finest music conferences in the nation, the “Sacred Music Symposium.” The symposium focuses on expert clinicians bringing 3 days of intense workshop experiences in: conducting, handbells, organ, children’s music, developing voices, arranging and improvisation, creativity in worship services and reading sessions from the nation’s leading church music publishers. Matt has also developed, through Tab’s sponsorship, an internship program for future conductors and organists who wish to pursue church ministry. Matt actively mentors and oversees these students, as they begin their service in church musicianship. He serves as the Indiana Choral Directors Association Chair of Music in Worship Repertoire and Resources. In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family including, his lovely wife, daughter, and four grandchildren.
